I started by downloading two images onto the computer. Then I took the main image and embedded it into Photoshop where I would start my editing. I added some adjustments to the lighting and and vibrance of the image itself. I saved it after completing the adjustments and then inserted text. I started with coming up with a saying that would match the aesthetic of the background image. I chose "Wish you were here..". I changed the font style, and made some adjustments to the appearance. I added a thin white outline to the text and followed with a thicker orange border. I then took my second image that I downloaded and created a clipping mask so that the image of palm leaves would appear in the text. I edited the color of the image to make it slightly darker in image adjustments. Lastly, I found a retro looking logo that would fit perfectly with my retro post card aesthetic. I chose the "summer time" logo. First I removed the background of the existing logo using the magic wand tool. Then I saved the image and embedded it back onto the existing poster. Finally, I added a thick white outline to make it stand out. I made the white outline slightly translucent. I then saved the final image. First I saved it as a PSD so I could make changes later if I needed to and then as a JPEG so I would be able to send the image onto other platforms and through email.
