My favourite cartoon when I was younger was Fairly Odd Parents. I was obsessed with how comical and adorable the characters looked. The colours used in the show were also very captivating to me. When I found out I could create a me version of the classic Timmy Turner I was all in. I started by using one of the female characters for reference. I ended up creating a whole new outfit and body shape then what the original girl was wearing to make it more authentic. The face was actually the easiest part. I was very happy with how it turned out. I used the curved pen tool for the hair to allow more of a wave to occur. I think the hair turned out so cute. Part of the head was very linear and flat across so I put a artist hat on top I used colours to compliment my outfit and it adds a bit of character to who I am gonna be, a future art student. I created a paint brush for my hand to bring the entire look together. I could not forget the Nike's though and personally I think they are the cutest shoes. This cartoon has a lot of aspects and props that I had to create without templates and I really love how everything turned out considering I had to work around a lot of challenges. It was good to challenge myslf and my ability to illustrate on a computer.

My Simpsons character is actually so cute. At the beginning I was really apprehensive since I've only seen a few episodes of the show. I was not familiar with the characters and their features but after looking I decided to just go for it and find a character that I could work around. I made my eyes big and my features big because I have a very European nose as well as wide eyes. I definitely captured my characteristics in this character best even if it is not as detailed and comical as my other ones. The most difficult part of this character was using the pen tool to create the body and skin. There were so many specific parts to the hands that had to be positioned so it looked like an actual Simpson body part. I ended up making it just right and I am very happy with how everything turned out. I finished off with some cute accessories that resemble me. I love to sing in my pass time so I gave my character a microphone. I am also a big fan of Broadway musicals (my favourite being Wicked) so I placed a playbill in my characters hand. It gave a little more personality and realness to my version of a Simpson.

I loved creating a personal South Park character. It was really fun incorporating my favorite things into my own version of the original South Park character. I began by using one of the originals for my template so I could reference and use as a template for measurements of features. I began by adding in each of the shapes to makeup the face such as the eyes, skin, and mouth. I then moved on and created my hair texture and colour. I added in highlights with the gradient brush tool to finish it off. I moved on and used the pen tool to make a black t-shirt, then I added the "Friends" logo on it since friends is my favourite TV show. I'd say that the most creative part of this character was making my South Park character wear Nike shoes. I always wear them so it was fitting for me to incorporate them. Lastly, I created a pink headband using the ellipse tool and pen tool. I added an ice coffee cup in my hand because I am obsessed with anything cafinated. I am really happy with how my South Park character turned out and I am really loving her little look. She truly resembles my personality, look and who I am.

I began by placing a picture of Cosmo From Fairly Odd Parents into illustrator. Then I started the process of outlining him and creating different layers. I used the pen tool for the majority of the character. To achieve more of a curve, in some anchors I had to use point handles to create a smooth curve. I then filled in the sections witch the corresponding colors and outlined the sections with a line thickness of 3 pts. I used the ellipse tool to create the eyes and tongue. Lastly, I used the brush tool to make some of the smaller details to make the image come together. I created the details like the hands, teeth and ear by making the opacity of the layers below translucent so I could trace the original image. I then use the anchor points to fix the different lines to match the original image. the most difficult part of creating this was figuring out the layers of the face and how to make everything the correct sizes and proportions. It was just very time consuming and took a while to create. The only thing I wish I could fix is the thick line between the hair and his head. I wish that I could have made it the same thickness as the rest of the lines. I really like how this turned out and I enjoyed practicing by creating a cartoon illustration. It helped me to become familiar with the tools and keyboard shortcuts moving forward into other projects.
